    January transfer window

    Forget Christmas trees in October.

Some papers have started on the next window already ... and what's this? Not another Southampton meltdown. - view external link

Harry Kane as part of the deal has been omitted

Good business if you ask because J Rod now is un tried due to his sad injury

Don't rule out Saints making a bid for Jordy Clasie, might mean Corky is allowed to go though.
This is according to a decent itk on Sweb

I can't see we need that much in January other than letting any 'surplus' players leave, keeping the squad strong and ensuring there is still the chance for quality players from our excellent academy to progress. One day the media might move from their old stereotype of our club, it's status and fabulous supporters but it hasn't happened in the 40+ years I've been going.
    Still I'm very happy.

I'd settle for losing no one, signing Bertrand and offering Cork a contract extension..

That would be a great transfer window.

Bertrand seems keen, hope we agreed the price beforehand. - view external link

The option to buy is at £10m, as I understand it.

The way he has settled in I'd be happy at that.

Toby seems keen on his loan being turned into a permanent move.

At the kind of money Saints [reportedly] agreed with Atletico when the loan deal was being thrashed out, it would be one of the bargains of the season.

I now want to give a whole season everything for Southampton and then see whether the club wants to take me permanently from Atletico.
