Gibson jars his knee in training.

Darron Gibson, who is still in the process of trying to regain his best form after a year out following knee surgery, apparently jarred his knee in training this week but Roberto Martinez does not believe the Irishman has suffered any significant injury.

Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill voiced his concern, saying: "Darron has picked up some sort of injury in training. [He] is not playing that much as it is if you're going to be able to play central midfield."

Martinez addressed the issue of his potential training-ground set-back in his press conference this morning and wasn't unduly concerned about Gibson's ability to continue training.

Yesterday in training, he picked up a knock," the Catalan said, "but I don't think you can consider it an injury. We'll assess it today. I expect him to train today, so I don't think there's anything to worry about."
