Tottenham have an excellent keeper good defenders, some talented wide players and a decent No10 in the form of Eriksen. Yet for all their spending they still lack able midfielders and strikers.


Everyone bangs on about Bale but there was nothing they could have done to keep him but Van der Vaart should have been retained by a club like Tottenham who aspire to be a top 6 team. He's a match winner who was a nightmare for opposition defenders.

Because of the rivalry it's easy to goad Spurs and make comparisons with us but it's probably more realistic to use Everton who have been finishing in the top six fairly regularly. Even just a couple of years ago under Harry most of the players in a combined 11 would have come from The Lillywhite C0cks but somehow they seem to have replaced those players with average Joe's.
