To avoid relegation 47 points will usually suffice in Tier 4, though last season Bristol Rovers got 50 points and went down by 4 goals. I am expecting at least 29 points from the remaining 28 matches.

To achieve another 35 points from their remaining 28 matches is already looking like a bit of a stride for Hartlepool and Tranmere.

Before long we will have played nearly all our very long distance matches and thus those teams will have to make the long journey to Carlisle. Curle's ratio of points to matches should see us gradually pull clear of the drop.

We have yet to draw a League match under Curle's management.
