3 Years Since Gary Speed Died

Mate just texted me (Leeds fan). I had no idea it was that long ago. Brings it back what a sad loss it was. Universally liked with rarely a bad word said about him yet depression got the better of him. You just never know do you

The human brain and the thought and hidden emotions within it,is just so complex its frightening.Usualy the darker a person feels the more they counteract it,with an act,a pretence of being happy and well. But that just leaves a raging turmoil,in a persons head which sadly can engulf them. The turmoil is like being in a locked room slowly being destroyed by your own thoughts, but feel noboby can unlock the door to help you.Unfortunenately this ends in suicide in some people, they are just not able to think logicaly anymore, but often the case is how can anyboby help them if they cant see the darkness behind a mans eyes,we only see the smiling and laughter, but that's just an act for us.Rest in peace gary

It doesn't rest easy that nobody close to him seemed to accept that he was mentally ill.
I know that doesn't necessarily mean he wasn't, but it makes you wonder what could have come to light that made him want to take his own life.

Either way, it's a horrible tragedy.

    RIP.

Terrible loss of life of a great bloke we still don't know the true facts behind his death has anybody actually said it was because of depression?

I don't think the true facts will ever come out Campo. Gary Speed was obviously a very distraught man, when he decided to take his own life.

    RIP Gary.
