    Rowett on Zigic

no its not **** ...although its as good as :-)

"We’ve looked at how he’s trained, and he’s actually covered as much distance as anyone else in most of the training sessions. He’s been really personable with me and for the money that we’re offering could we get someone to player a similar role who’d be better? I think the answer quite categorically at the moment is ‘no’.

"He knows the club, and the fact that he’s got a real link to the fans can only be a positive thing. How many players can you sign that have instant status? If I didn’t think he was still hugely motivated to play I wouldn’t have even entertained it because I wouldn’t just sign someone on what they’ve done previously. I'm really pleased to have got him on board and I’m looking forward to working with him." - view external link

As ever I wait to be proved wrong and will grovel when he scores twenty goals this season.

    Optimism ,Optimism I remember Optimism
Clark will laugh in our faces and send us back to Brum with our tails between our legs.
Now that is pessimism much better and deffinately more like blues fans normal thinking.
Still rather drink in celebration than just to

That would be almost one a game in the remainder of the season Spion even Robbie Fowler or Jean Pierre Papin would have struggled to do that!

Spion I challenge you to be a gentleman and make the bet ten goals from Ziggy in the remainder of the season.

There is also the question of how many goals he will create; either with a touch or by is sheer presence...

It was clear to me that LC didn't know how to play the big man (along with the rest of the squad). I feel, hope, believe, trust that Sir Gary will use all the options a 6'8" guy provides.
Will he play today? Brought on as a sub he would have much to prove at Bloomfield Rd today - probably more than LC has to his former employees. All makes for an intriguing situation, which Sir Gary will use to our advantage. Dare I start to think about three wins on the bounce?

look after those knees mate , no grovelling on here ;-) to my mind its a no brainer , he's a better finisher than all of our strikers , i think the ammo from midfield and the wing in our current set up will ensure he gets on the scoresheet enough to keep even you happy mate

Right you are Bassman; now while there are no Elliott-Mutch-Fahey-Burke to get the ball to him I still feel confident we can get enough decent balls to him for him to make a significant difference.

(Correct me of I am wrong; but wasn't it Mitch Hancox that X'd the ball to him for the first goal at Bolton?)

Now here is a reminder of what he can do against the kind of crap defenders that populate the division we are in - assuming they decide not (or are not permitted) to hold his shirt

Off now while I look for the clip of the chip on the run, the most difficult skill of all... - view external link
