Thread: Tomorrow is the day when we see the negative consequences..

Tomorrow is the day when we see the negative consequences..

of Steve Evans massive hype about our current bunch and I fear it could do severe damage to our bid to stay in the division.

We have had 3 average performances of late but the gaffer has exaggerated the quality of the performances and made us out to be something we are not.

Ledesma, Wootton. Lawrence and James have made a marginal improvement to the team and they might keep us in the division, but it will be very close.

However, Evans making them out to be the Millers answer to the Busby Babes who play "stunning" football could really come back to bite us on the a rse tomorrow.

Imagine if a Wigan team click tomorrow and put 4 past us?

Those players will be crestfallen...to have been spanked by a team who are below us in the league. It will be a long way down from the pedestal he has put those players on. Young players especially will find it very hard to fall so far. They will then realise that the manager has over egged the pudding and they will find it hard to trust his eval

Just to put some meat on the bones of Stevie's "hype".

In the 4 games the new loanees have played we have drawn 3 and won one. 1.5 points per game is fringe of play-offs form.

In the first of those games an absolute freak of a late equaliser cost us 2 points.

In the second of those games we outplayed a promotion favourite away - A team that had won it's last 5 home games.

In the third of those games we outplayed another promotion favourite. The crossbar and a lucky save by their keeper stopped us getting all three points.

    Today we won.

The new style of play is much more entertaining.

These new players have only had 4 games together.

We don't know whether or not the improvement will continue but, for now at least, there is much more than a "marginal" improvement.

Hopefully the doom and gloom brigade will be quiet, at least for a while (I'm not holding my breath)
