did we dodge a bullet with Mackay?

    What if??

What if Gartslime had plumped for MM? Dont get me wrong he couldnt be any worse than DF but how many pie munchers thought he would turn round the Rosler nightmare.

Not my aim to talk about Wiggin's demise, but just think there is some relevance due to us being linked with him earlier in the season.

Very good question mate and one that came up today.

I think that we've got a far better squad than Wigan so he may have done OK with us but at the end of the day...FK IT...NLSWA!!!!!

If I am being totally honest, after Dougie was sacked, Malky was my first choice to replace him. I still think he's a quality manager and I think providing Dave Whelan gives him time, Malky should be a decent appointment for Wigan.

I think Wigan's squad is pretty unbalanced and they lack a couple of decent strikers. Given time, I think Malky will come good.

It's the flavour of the month factor.

Like I said before he went to Wigan, just because he got Cardiff promoted doesn't necessarily make him a good manager. By that logic, Owen Coyle is also a good manager.

People can get so excited about managers on the basis of a good five minutes. They seem like geniuses one minute, and before you know it, they're absolute non entities.

Just look at the Liverpool clubs' managers. Everybody thought they were the dogs *******s last season. Suddenly, the pair of them look rather inept and will probably be lucky to still be in a job next season.

I wanted Hughton but would have been happy with McKay. I'm interested to see how Brighton do now, I reckon they'll be okay under Hughton. We have a top manager no doubts about that.
