Plenty of chances in the first half for Liverpool but they look a shadow of what they were with Suarez in the side last season. His goals will take some replacing.

Chelsea-Newcastle on here in the States.
1-0 courtesy of a goal by Oscar a few minutes before HT. Newcastle had had the better of the match up until then IMO.

Burnley 2-1 QPR (Austin with a pen for Rangers)
    Everton 0-0 Man City
    Leicester 1-0 Villa
Swansea 0-1 West Ham (Carroll w/ the goal)

Brum 2-1 Wigan - what a turnaround for Brum since the coaching change
    Blackpool 1-0 Millwall
    Bolton 0-1 Leeds
Bournemouth 1-1 Norwich - pleased if the score stays the same
    Brentford 0-0 Rotherham
    Cardiff 1-0 Fulham
    Charlton 0-0 Brighton
Huddersfield 0-0 Watford - hope this result holds
    Forest 0-0 Wednesday
    Reading 0-0 Middlesbrough

A win in his first league game for Pulis, Hull penalised after keeper picked up a back pass, Berahino from the lay off from the free-kick. A poor chance squandered in the first half by Ideye.

Fortunate the Hull defender made an unnecessary touch that resulted in the indirect free kick. But so it goes

You take a bit of luck that comes your way, ref went by the rules of the game. I think the game was heading for 0-0 as it was panning out.

Been watching the Palace v Spurs game not a bad match so far fairly even notwithstanding a guilt edged chance that Eriksen should have put away for Tottenham.
One thing I have noticed The Eagles 'Ultra's' have nowhere near the stamina of their European counterparts!

Atmosphere is decent, but the drum seems to be central to it.
