Great Money Spinning Idea for the Club...

We've all seen those tragic adverts on the telly about "save a Donkey" where ye see a poor forlorn looking thing standing in a muddy field in the ****ing rain and we are asked to help save the Donkey by donating £2 a month.

We could run a txt poll costing a £1 a txt to see who we could have as our "sponser a Donkey" advert... we could have an advert wie Vigurs in a field trying to pass a ball (or any other player who gets most txt votes) we could have sad voices saying:

"this donkey can't even pass a ball, its feet are all twisted and prevent it from walking let alone tracking back, help us save this donkey by donating £2 a month, you will get a signed picture of your donkey and regular monthly updates on its well being or even a visit to see your favourite donkey"

It's a winner a tell ye aw they pound txts and the direct debits we get would add a valuable income stream to the club

Very good, Mix. Only thing is that to be accurate we could not show a photo of a single donkey. We’d have to show a whole herd.

That already happens. You here it every Saturday over the tannoy. Who sponsors who. They could have an end of season competition, who ended up with the biggest donkey of the season. There would be a few runners this year.

Yep - good post; we could have a range of ad's with that angle on things currently.
What about us asking folk if they've been mis-sold 'PPI' (Professional Playing Imposters).
I reckon I'd be due my £360 back !!
