Thread: The Evans survey

    The Evans survey

Do you think Steve Evans has invested well in the transfer market this season?

Do you think the team spirit is better or worse than in previous seasons under Evans?

Do you think it is possible to rebuild a team, half way through the season and improve on the performances in the first half of the season?

Is it good to introduce a new style of play before mid season?

Is it good to base that style around loan players who in all likelihood will be moving on after a month?

Is it beneficial to publicly criticise RUFC players to the media and highlight their errors?

Does shouting and micro-managing from the touchline always get results?

Do you think Steve Evans can keep us up this season?

Do you think sacking Steve Evans now will give us a better chance of staying up?

Before the season started I was very optimistic with the likes of Green, Derbyshire and Bowery signing. As the season has progressed it appears he has lost his marbles but without knowing the clubs finances it's not fair to comment any further.

Do you think the team spirit is better or worse than in previous seasons under Evans?

Worse but only because of the high turnover of players.

Do you think it is possible to rebuild a team, half way through the season and improve on the performances in the first half of the season?

Yes but once rebuilt you need to play a settled side.

Is it good to introduce a new style of play before mid season?

Yes. England switched to playing with wing backs just before a major tournament with good success.

Is it good to base that style around loan players who in all likelihood will be moving on after a month?

Do you think Steve Evans has invested well in the transfer market this season?

He has used what funds he has been given to bring in players he thinks might have or still will do well for the team...mistakes have been made but his budget is such TS won't bust the wage structure...so yes to a degree as other players weren't delivering and changes had to be made...

Do you think the team spirit is better or worse than in previous seasons under Evans?

We aren't the players so we don't know what goes on behind closed doors...he rules with an iron fist we all know that but his management style shows he is currently the most successful manager for the past 5 years...does he worry about team spirit? No I don't think he does so my answer is no different...

Do you think it is possible to rebuild a team, half way through the season and improve on the performances in the first half of the season?

Yes if what wasn't working previously as we have experienced already this season...a dan

Yes, we see this every season at a number of clubs

It's not preferable, but needs must!

We signed 4 in December, they have all gone, this speaks for itself.

And WHO is going to sack Steve Evans because even if we get relegated I can't see Tony Stewart pulling the plug...quite rightly IMO
