He reckons it was great marketing as more Crewe fans turned up.
He doesn't even recognise the fact that since it was pay on the day there was no point in pre buying a ticket.
His comments are inflammatory and the league do need to address it - players get done for less, club owners & chairmen should have a degree of professionalism.

Three things spring to mind.
Firstly, if you listen to Radio Joke most Vale fans think the man is a tool who doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut; examples being his 'negotiations' with Tom Pope, a popular player with them, around his contract and his moaning about lower crowds than he would like at Vale Park as he has put so much money in.
Secondly he loves the sound of his own voice and has a great sense of his own importance so let's not give him any more publicity with which to inflate his ego any further.
Thirdly, and most importantly, compare and contrast him and John Bowler - no contest and that alone should stop those that criticise JB and the Board at the drop of a hat. Be careful what you wish for!
