Watford Trial for Former Bolton Captain..

Former Bolton captain Zat Knight could be closing in on a return to England, after going on trial at Watford.

Knight departed Wanderers last summer after a five-year spell at the club and headed to the United States, where he signed an undisclosed deal with Colorado Rapids.

After just four appearances for the MLS side, the 34-year-old's contract was cancelled by mutual consent as the club began to build for the future by signing younger players ahead of the new campaign.

Knight was present at Vicarage Road on Tuesday evening, as he watched the Hornets in action against Rotherham United, and the Watford Observer have revealed the former Fulham and Aston Villa defender is undergoing a trial ahead of a potential move to the Championship play-off hopefuls.

During his time with Bolton, Knight made a total of 191 appearances and found the net on four occasions.

Watford were a fantastic attacking team to watch at the Macron a couple of weeks ago. I know we scored 3 against them, but I'd be ****ing amazed if they signed him. zat Knight = Car Crash!
