Well he's gone all season with only Blackpool coming in for him until now so I'd say that an awful lot of managers didn't see the same quality in him that you see, or there's something wrong that we don't know about

I wish him well though, he said decent things about us when he left so fair play

He's come on as a sub and made it 3-0 for Charlton at Wigan tonight.

Wonder if it will be Bolton who send Wigan down, probably not mathematically as they will still have a few games to play, but would be nice to put them in their place and back where they belong, with Bury

    re: Chris Eagles..

Dave Whelan broke his leg don't you know.

And they won the FA Cup once.

Fk em. Tin pot club. Sick and tired of hearing how well they've done (from their own fans)

Goodbye and good riddance. Hope we send them down and their nasty, horrible fans can terrorise the likes of Southport in the future

    A tad hypocritical there.

I have never understood the antagonism between the two clubs. Oh, right, I just noticed. Wigan is not that far away from Bolton. Now I get it.

Wigan winning the FA cup was a great moment, not just for Wigan but for football, and I believe should be commended by everyone in the game.

I wouldn't begrudge any of their fans for bragging about it. I'm pretty sure everyone on here would be doing the same thing if we ever won it again.

As to their fate this season, I am indifferent.

Hypocritical? Jimmy? I'd say he's straight down the line. You may disagree with his sentiment but how is he being hypocritical?

For what it's worth I hope they drop like a stone. If that sounds harsh I'm sorry, but Wigan isn't a football town. Their attendances relative to the size of the town show their indifference. They'll go down, the attendances will drop and they'll end up at their natural level with attendances similar to those when they were at Springfield Park.

I meant that his post was hypocritical in the sense that he was calling Wigan fans 'nasty' and 'horrible' whilst saying what, in my opinion, were some pretty nasty and horrible things himself.

I didn't mean to question his character, if that's how it came across.
