Job done.
4-2 Saints - some very good performances, and capped off with a Seager hat-trick.
Next up Blackburn in a two-legged final.
Nice one, lads..
Just watched that. Great performance.
2 leg final to come.
I went to Wolves to watch our youth team in the FA Cup Semi-Final in 2005. Saints won in similar style, I've just dug out that programme and our team included; Gareth Bale, Leon Best, Martin Cranie, Kyle Critchel, Nathan Dyre, Adam Lallana, David McGoldrick and Theo Walcott.
The future remains bright.
This competition was set up to be the U21 equivalent of the FA Youth Cup for U18s. Although it's only in its 2nd year, I can see it becoming quite a prestigious cup in years to come. For that reason, it's probably easier to win now than it will be in the future. So, let's get our on the trophy when we have the chance. Hopefully, there will be a competition record crowd at St Mary's for the final.
There were some great prospects in last night's team: Gazzaniga, Mason, McCarthy (c), Wood, Debayo, Hesketh, Gape, Sinclair, Isgrove, Gallagher, Seager
Subs: Britt (GK), Cook, Jones, Sims, McQueen.
Was mightily impressed with Debayo, looked solid.
If the other semi was Spurs v Chelsea, how do you then get Blackburn in the final?Originally Posted by Pentridge
