A 'Well win keeps hope alive

Plenty of effort and three decent goals to boot! Right enough, the opposition seem to be in a bit of a downer. let's hope the Saints do them on Saturday. - view external link

I thought we were a combination of good and awful tonight. In the first 20 minutes or so I couldn't see anything other than a frustrating night with Killie looking the more likely side, but we came back into things and once we got in front we looked a different side. Erwin was excellent and took his goal superbly, as did Ainsworth with the third, at a time when we badly needed to score as we'd chucked them a lifeline with another calamitous goal early in the second half.

Special mention to Stevie Hammell tonight, he was superb at left back and was my MOTM and showed just what we've missed for so much of this season.

Agree thought SH was excellent tonight. To be fair I thought the effort was great from them all, even if the quality was a bit poor at times. It was good to see that fight back, which has been missing last 3 games. I would include McManus in that, I tear him up for ass paper. But along with Hamell, obrian and Ramsden dug in last 20 mins when we were under the cosh. Even when SH went off we looked steady enough. Goal was another fk up, no one taking responsibility. Well done for holding on and getting win. Irwin and Johnstone added that wee bit of excitement. A lot happier boy tonight.

A great 3 points and yes what a relief. The performance was a mixture of the very impressive and the awful. Still its the result that counts. Overall a decent team performance and it was so important to score the first goal and lure Killie out. Can we still finish 10th - it'll still be very difficult but last night's win will help.

Great effort. Some of our guys aren't polished footballers, but as long as they try I'll accept that.
I know that it's unlikely, but if we lose out on goal difference some of the penalties we're not getting could be an issue. Another stonewaller came and went last night. Then again, perhaps we should be grateful that none of our players was booked for appealing for it.
