He didn't give us much apart from the penalty. Wallace ought to have been booked early on and MacCulloch ought to have seen red for a horrific tackle. certainly not 50/50.

McCulloch was actually pulling out of the tackle, not that bad when you see the replay.

Pearson"s on Wallace (I think) on the other hand was actually pretty bad despite having looked ok in real time.

I thought the ref was ok today. In fact both refs over the tie were decent... I must be starting to hallucinate now.

Thomson was reasonable yesterday and very fair. I think the myth that him or any match officials would have gone out their way to assist that mob through these playoffs was yet again dealt a few blows yesterday as the fact that the referee correctly booked Vuckic for diving for a free kick outside our box when a corrupt official would surely have blown for the foul and no doubt booked our player, and then instead of awarding them a penalty for Miller falling on his @rse and throwing his hands up - perfect opportunity to gift 'Rangers' a chance to get them back into the tie - he waves it away and books Miller. And he awarded us a penalty at the end although as has been said, he would have been better playing advantage and allowing Sutton's goal to stand, perhaps he blew too quickly and didn't want to reverse the decision, who knows? But it mattered not a jot in the end.

So all in all, fair play to Craig Thomson yesterday and Bobby Madden on Thursday, they earned themselves pass marks i

I think he got the McDonald tackle on Miller in the box wrong - it was a penalty and Pat Nevin agrees with me so I must be correct.

He should have sent off Zaluaskis for the elbow on Pearson but took no action - I trust the SFA enforment chap will be looking into this shameful incident.

Pat Nevin said it was 50/50 - possibly a penalty but was of the variety that some refs give and some don't. Not a stonewaller.

The SFA Compliance Officer will no doubt take an interest in the game but will restrict his examination to those incidents highlighted by the media. I expect more to come of the post match fracas. Interestingly if that had been in a rugby match it would have been laughed off.
