i was just hearing about a Mr Fury, the boxer who managed to get his collar felt by our local constabulary and i started wondering about other celebrities that may also have spent a night or two under lock and key here in our fair town, so far i've got Hare as in Burke and Hare,any others?. As it happens the last Public Execution in Scotland of a woman took place here in Dumfries in 1862 and the last man to be publicly hanged in Scotland also took place here in Dumfries in 1868 terrible events for terrible times.
