    re: derby (home)predictions

Aucks, I find that the only way to gain a real 'appreciation' of the actual game (when one hasn't attended oneself - as it is for me in this case), is to take on board what certain supporters report and likewise discard the 'others'.
I know from personal 'on stadium' experience that I can read ; Dann, Howie, Moony (in past days) eg, and get a fair 'impression' of the performance.
Having looked at 'the stats', it would pretty much back up what these gentlemen 'report', whereas normally I would take them (the stats) as just that - stats!

I think we can consider the Dons game the glitch we were all hoping it was.
Will this new found resilience be enough to tame BFC? Well, time will tell, but it's looking far better than it was some 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Did Derby look like a side who had spent a lot more than Rovers? Did they look nailed on for promotion? They should after he all the money they've spent and the managers they've been able to attract. And the support and financial backing they have. Plus they have been 'going for it' for the past few seasons. I know how we looked. How did promotion fav's look?

Derby were awful of course! You know we never pick up points against teams that play well!

We were at least as good as Derby , they may have passed it better , but second half especially they created nothing , Steele didn`t make a save second half . Rovers played more of a counter attacking game (which I don`t particularly like) and did it very well . We went with pace and when you have that in your team you will always cause problems . I thought Taylor was terrific and showed why he is loved at the club and on the training ground .

I don't like us playing on the break at home either to be honest. There is no team in this league we shouldn't be taking the game to, esp at home..

I agree with needle on Taylor. He had an excellent game last night. He did miss 2 sitters, but he put himself into the position to get in the spotlight to miss them, which isn't bad given his lack of matches. Otherwise he ran and ran, played good passes, got at the Derby players and knackered himself out. Most of Ewood stood and clapped him off when he was subbed, and he deserved it.

So...do we say that was just a one off ,taking into account we was on a bit of an unbeaten run.? Does sound like GB may have cocked up with the subs though.

Im going to go for 1-1,playing at home on the back of a defeat im hoping the team(and manager ) show the confidence they did against Ipswich and put in a good performance before you know who next saturday.
    Howie wins yesterdays star prize.
