    Didin't say it irked me, it was I think part of the reason posters were a tad sharp in biting back.

    The reason none had a view about Weimann until recently was that he had hardly played, though I for one recognised in the brief glimpses we did have of him, that we had a player with skill who could well be very useful for us.

    My main point which has been made by another poster on another thread was that fans are quick to jump on the backs of new players and from judgements, yet its ludicrous to expect new players to pl

    Blimey RamBam, don't know about 'sticking your neck out', unless it's something to do with carrying that chip on your shoulder. Anyway, imo, you don't get across your point by saying that everyone except you and your eleven disciples are the only ones that can be right and that everyone else is 'deluded'. You have your opinion, others have theirs, fair enough it's all about opinions, but to say that anyone who disagrees is 'seriously deluded' is disrespectful and...well a tad delusional actually.     I simply found that everyone was giving him man of the match for four bits of play, which otherwise would be delusional. I don't see it as disrespectful at all. And it was Swale that was saying people were were 'irked'.

    I don't think it was your 'sticking your neck out' so much as your assertion that anyone who saw potential in Weimann was 'deluded' or 'rose-tinted'.

    Personally, I'd question the judgement of anyone who described his goal on Saturday as 'a tap in'.
