    'Well beaten by Inverness

We never looked like winning this one. A slow start, a controversial penalty retake and a careless clearance cost us dear but we were toothless. - view external link

A.lways going to be toothless when your left back can only pass the ball backwards, can't beat a player or take a throw in to one of his own players. No movement from forwards for passes to be played to.Defence and midfield failing to close opposition players who are in possession of the ball before they make the pass that causes us trouble. For a team that is meant to be doing double training sessions we still lack ideas at set play situations, the only time we created anything was when we kept the ball on the deck, high balls were a total waste of time.

We are utterly desperate ICT are the biggest pile of cack we are likely to see at fir park. We totally dominated play but didnt threaten them one little bit utter toothless as you say. Our final ball as it was against Kilmarnock was honking. We'd be as well playing spirograph cos we are good at making fancy wee patterns but not much else.
Cant believe we ever signed Chalmers or son of Shivute....

That was an absolutely dreadful performance today. Against celtic and in the first half today we just let them pass the ball about with out so much as an pressure on their players to win the ball back. When we had the ball the Inverness players go tight to us and pressured us into mistakes. When they got the ball we stood off them. I just don't get it. You are at home you have a chance to move up the league and you put in a performance like that. As a fan I am embarrassed to be sitting watchinh that nonsense today when I could have been at home with my family. Disgraceful performance

Very disappointing. Allan 73 is spot on. Why do we not pressure the other side when in possession? They did it very effectively to us , yet we stood off and let them pass their way through us. Charmers had a really poor game today. Looked like he was playing in gutties and at one point appeared to trip over a blade of grass. However, he is not helped by Johnson's continued failure to cover back effectively. We really lack any creativity in midfield ( as Nicky Law used to provide) . Pearson and Grimshaw are both fine as physical midfielders but they lack creativity. We need someone in there who can make things happen - the two wingers just don't hack it. One upside is the (relative) improvement of Josh Law and Loius Moult works hard and has a poacher's instinct but Fletcher and Robinson have yet to impress me as making any significant contribution. Skippy is disappointing and some of his passing is dreadful. The ref did not help us today but we have to up our game in terms of pressurin

Just one of those very frustrating games games you get once or twice a season - we couldn't do much about it. There wasn't an awful lot between the 2 teams and Inverness may arguably just have edged it just edged it. Two fantastic shots - one from Vigurs which went in and one from Grimshaw which hit woodwork and that was the difference. The rest of the game was all about shocking refereeing from Craig Thompson characterised by error after error. No team can beat that and we didn't receive a single break.

All you can do is take it on the chin and move on. Hopefully we'll get a dose of luck against Ross County or Hearts. As John Hughes will testify its better to be lucky than good.

You are papering over substantial cracks if you think its jst one of those games. It wasnt it was exactly the same as the Kilmarnock game utterly pitiful one we cross the halfway line. 11 goals in 14 games is a very telling stat. Our final ball and decision making in the last third is truly dreadful. We were pumped (in scoreline) by a team that were cack and have been cack most of the season. That's the easiest 3 points ICT will get all season. When you don't create chances you will always lose to teams that only need to create one or two. We were pitiful as an attacking force.

Toothless up front, an if we don't rectify it we won't win many games. Football wise not much between the two teams, both were s****. We also need to close teams down in the middle of the park, we just seem to stand off teams and let them do what they want. It's game like yesterdays we need to win to climb the table, more performances like that and we wont be going anywhere.

Keep playing like we did yesterday, and we could be the new St.Mirren in the championship next season. When your players fail to close the opposition down and mark properly at set pieces, you are always going to lose more games than you win.We haven't won a league game this season when we have went behind and opposition teams now seem to know score first against us and the game is virtually won.Teams now come to Fir Park thinking this is an easy place to get points and come to dictate the play and set the tone for the game when it should be the other way round.
