    Arbroath 1 v 1 Stirling Alb

You couldn't get a cigarette paper between the sides as both teams ground out a score draw.
It was a game played mostly in the midfield with nether team giving an inch.
Kane Hester was only on the park two minutes when he got onto a Rutherford knock down to slot home from six yards.
Rutherford had the ball in the net a few minutes later when Hester teed him up, but the linesman flag ruled it out.
But Stirling went up the park immediately and equalised, so instead of two up it was 1-1.
All in all a point was fair, and with every other game ending in a draw no advantage was gained by anyone.

An entirely forgettable first half at a cold, wet and windy Gayfield.
Second half, a free kick on the left halfway inside the Bino's half was delayed whilst Hester replaced Skelly. The kick was taken, flicked on by Rutherford on the edge of the box and Hester scored with his first touch only seconds after coming on.
We looked fairly comfortable and I thought we would hold on for a win, but not to be.
Hope Bobby Linn's injury that saw him subbed isn't too bad. Good to see Sergio Alvarez back, thought he was best for us. Rutherford worked hard but hardly won a ball in the air against a big centre back and Whately played well.
Overall, as SJ says, a draw was probably a fair result.

Same here forgot to mention that Stirling also had shot off the bar and a goal ruled out for offside, draw a fair result though. Maybe not potent enough today was only gripe, Ramsay not having best game for us, wonder where Lowden was as been great for us recently. Really tough game next week away to Methil.??

Bit puzzled that our second goal is chalked off by the eagle eyed sea side linesman while the blind stand side lino fails to see a very similar goal from the Binos at the other end. Probably draw was fair result tho. Hope Bobby's knock is not too serious as we really miss him. League is beginning to look open for a team who can go on a run. C'mon Todd, make it us. Probably a fair result in the end. Stirling defended well and Doris was his usual handful in attack.

Positives were the mature performance from young Rutherford at left back and the developing midfield partnership between Sergio and Whatley. Some very neat passing given the conditions.. Kane' s first touch goal was a real joy.. We definitely missed Bobby Linn after his departure. Let's hope it's not a serious injury.

Sergio needs to learn how to tackle without giving away free kicks, he went very quite after his yellow card, thats when the young lad from Aberdeen should have come on.Whatley plays like a defender, just boots the ball up the park most of the time,I saw only about 4 passes from him.The pitch condition plus the weather did not help either.Hester did more in his short spell than Skelly did in his long spell,he must be due a full game now. Linn had a bit of an off day, didn't do much the time he was on
