Knew he'd play a weak line up, staying up is priority and rightly so.

I'm with Lambert, who cares? Ironic that a player that's guarenteed a regular starter, Steele, has been culpable on arguably both west ham goals so far.

Sorry Robin, we can't alter the rules just to accomodate Sven.. A three way tie is the official verdict ..

    Very mixed feelings over this.
Does this defeat dismay me? no not really. The manner of it? well yes obviously.
Adding to the poor defensive cover for their first, yes Steele should have saved it regardless ,no excuse.
Turning point was Taylors nothing of a 'challenge' in no mans land with Marshall providing some cover in addition. He will be the one with the most cause for self recrimination.
Having said that, for me PL did go overly safety first, this after saying he saw no reason for us not triumphing!
Their sending off, for us very fortunate IMO as Henley went down under his own challenge. He then went on a downward spiral as the game wore on. He was rabbit in headlights.
Again, having said that their man Payet was a joy to watch reminded me so much of Tevez, but a far, far nicer 'character'.
It highlighted the diff between top half of Prem and lower Champs, in skill set terms.
They really surprised me with their tentative first gear start, and I don't really think it was d

It was what it was, Rovers reserves v a good and in form West Ham team. Hopefully everyone learnt a bit from the game. Brown probably got most out of it, we were much weaker after he got subbed. I hope Lambert has realised that Akpan simply doesn't have the concentration to be in a team that's trying to compete. I expected to get battered and we were, so not that bothered really. The good thing was making it through the game injury free.

PS Brown came off to quite a few standing up and clapping him. How times have changed for the better.
