If they want him pay the money. They must rate him!
Malaga are looking to hold talks with Derby County regarding a potential transfer fee for defender Raul Albentosa.
Rams allowed the 27 year old to return to his homeland with a €1.2m fee agreed between the clubs should Malaga choose to purchase Albentosa on a permanent deal. They now want to renegotiate the previous deal.
I'd say get stuffed, pay the fee or we have him back! Why do we pay over the odds when other teams want Derby players at knocked down prices!
If they want him pay the money. They must rate him!
They do rate him, they want him to be one of their signings next season - they just don't want to pay the agreed price
Albentosa is clearly more adjusted to the style of la liga and has been brilliant there. Malaga are getting a good deal at £1m
By any chance would they also be interested in Johnson, Ince, Russell, Martin, Blackman, Baird etc etc? Maybe bulk buy discount? Just a thought....
They should pay up or sod off. Anyway, the new manager might want him back?
Isn't this the problem we have now? People know we don't want Albentosa back - good footballer apparently, just not suited to the Championship or England. Others also know that at least five of those that VdLH mentioned are seriously out of favour, with the fans at least.
Potential buyers are no longer going to offer a best price and the players are going nowhere without some sort of compromise because they're not going to get the same wages elsewhere.
Bit of a 'Catch 22' and perhaps it's even possible that we, on well used sites like DCM, don't help because we do tend to advertise our feelings about the failings of certain individual players.
Personally I think Ince is as brave as a lion, JR has a magnificent first touch and if he just had the mobility and honest commitment of Chris Martin he'd be worth at least £2m.
Raul Albentosa goal today earned Malaga a 1-1 draw against Spanish giants Real Madrid to rule out Ronaldos goal. Let's negotiate for £2milion
Didn't we only sign him for a few hundred thousand? If we get a couple of million for him then it's great business for a guy that never looked comfortable in England!
