Oh and we'll not have the added bonus of the Rangers pound next season
The results haven't been good enough some players performances haven't been anywhere up to scratch but what will really be on the Chairman's mind is the extra money we'll not be earning this season .
Early exits in the cups , falling crowds and our lower league positions will see Queens lose out on THOUSANDS this year
Oh and we'll not have the added bonus of the Rangers pound next season
The Board has a big decision to make and it must be made very soon IMO
This season has unfortunately been one disaster after another on the pitch . Too many defeats , too many mistakes , too many tactical changes when it's too late resulting in unacceptable performances
It's not ideal changing managers every couple of seasons but we live in a result based industry and we can't afford to lose more fans or money
My personal thought is he need a more experienced manager in and it's time up for some of our more senior players
With 3 games to go lets give the likes of Aiden Smith and Scott Hooper a chance to show us what they can do . They'll not learn much sitting on the bench or in the stand
Good point about Scott Hooper . What on earth is this young local lad thinking when Fowler continually overlooks him ? Its not as if everything's going smoothly in defence .
Watch the highlights from last night and you'll see a defensive disaster . The lad was recalled from Queens Park and can't even get a game
Here's the goals . Click the URL.. Very soft pen but Dowies pass that was intercepted for thrir second was terrible and so was Thomson's kick out for the first. - view external link
And don't forget Higgins' indecision and poor pass-back that set up the Dumbarton player for their second goal.Originally Posted by JRSLEFTPEG
In no way am I sticking up for Mr. Fowler but he must be a bit confused with what supporters are wanting. Some are criticising him for continually tinkering with the starting line-up while others want him to bring different players into the team.
JR, all that any team who is playing against Queens needs to do is laugh at our defensive frailties, - (sorry that should have been watch our defensive frailties) and then target the inevitable suicide pass which Higgins and Brownlie in particular seem so good at delivering week in and week out.
It must be extremely frustrating for Derek Lyle and the other front men to run their lungs out for 90 minutes every week, only to watch all their efforts wasted with the interception of one stupid and essentially lazy square ball.
Fowler should have closed the door on these defensive lapses months ago, - but Higgins, Brownlie and Dowie must accept collective responsibility for continually dithering at the back.
Having watched the highlights, Higgins once again was culpable, but just how was that a penalty? All Dowie does at the attempted overhead kick is turn his back.
It makes no difference, we were beaten by Dumbarton fairly and squarely, but once again we have leaked goals,
Because of what you say Jardi, there is no reason why Hooper should not be started . We will learn NOTHING by lining up the usual defence who have had - by and large - an awful season. Saturdays game is meaningless in a promotion/ relegation sense and if the boy can't play in that, then when will he ?
Regret to say but this present Queens team is in need of major surgery particularly in defence and it is open to debate whether Mr Fowler should lead the surgical team.
I also regret to say Hooper or Smith will not solve our problems.
Mr Hewitson our Chairman is no fool and sentiment will be at the back of his mind when he decides the way ahead for Queens in the coming weeks.
I suspect there are now a few shoogily pegs at Palmy
