Another Doonhamer lad Pat Slattery was also not given too much of a chance at Palmy but looks like he is well on the
way to a League Winners medal with East Fife
Admin , I am not saying anyone on our books can solve our defensive nightmare . What I am saying is that this boy in particular deserves a chance to prove himself . We know what the veterans can do and he has been kicking his heels for a long time . I recall he played at Ibrox earlier in the season and had a fine game only to sit out again. I will be highly dissapointed if he doesn't get a start and dont forget he will be match fit having played 6 games or so for Queens Park recently.

What I have seen of Hooper and Smith has not impressed me I regret to sayOriginally Posted by JRSLEFTPEG

Scott Hooper deserves a chance . Give him the last 3 games to see what he can do and prove the doubters wrong .
One things for sure , if he made some of the mistakes Dowie , Higgins and Brownlie have this season he'd be dropped straight away .... Why haven't they ????
I said it the other week when everyone was moaning about the defensive tactics used by mr fowler. He changed this to a more attacking approach and the results have shown that the players are not good enough to play in a way that games are more open and stretched.
Yes it is more entertaining and yes we give it a go in games but the bottom line is that a large number of the squad isn't good enough to play at this level and this has resulted in the current run of results.
Mr fowler has tried to get the team playing in a way that a large number were asking for just a month ago and with the results going south then it's his fault again. Seems he can't win in this situation.
Where mr fowler is culpable is that most of this team are his signings and they have let him down big time. Brownlie Jacobs Thompson etc were all signed from the likes of Cowdenbeath and Livingston. These were teams that were relegated or facing relegation for a reason. Simply they weren't good enough! And mr f
So the whole board should be forced to resign if they keep Fowler - who will force them to resign ? - considering the investment the board have made they will take some shifting !Originally Posted by fruitloop

For those wishing the board to splurge the money, just remember what happened the last time we done that . This regime picked us up from a very poor position and got us straightened out financially. They deserve great credit for that . ------This reminds me of the old chicken and egg situation. A lot of the public don't go to games = less of a budget where as more people going = more of a budget . Unfortunately, for the last few years , we are in the first example . -----;I really don't think the team is as bad as being made out by some . We have started to score ( lots) of goals since a more attacking approach was made . This suggests to me that this part of the team is not the main problem . If we can get Harris again then add him to Hilson, Oliver etc and our attack is not bad at all. We could then focus on strengthening other areas.
