Enjoy your stay in Costa de Coseley mate, my other half and myself go chasing the sun on 3 weeks Monday and it can't come soon enough.
Arrived yesterday for a couple of weeks vacation in the Coseley resort complex and have just checked the extended weather forecast. B ugger, a bit of sun on Friday and that's it really, rain/drizzle the rest of the way. Mind you it is still a nice break from home, we had just had the fourth hundred degree day in a row when I left.
So it's going to be the Severn Valley Railway tomorrow and then rent a car and make a couple of trips out to Norfolk maybe to chase the sun.
Off into Wolverhampton this morning to try and buy a couple of used stamp albums and apply for my bus pass.
'
Oh, also got a brand new great grandson to visit.
I don't know how I will contain the excitement.

Severn Valley Railway for me today, not quite as exotic as Lanzarote biu it'll work. Have fun and be careful.
Drove out to Loughborough today to ride on the restored Great Central Railway Line [which was excellent]. It was a two hour drive in an absolute downpour! Luckily just as we got there the rain stopped and the sun came out, just, for a little while.
I was cursing the weather back home before I left [100F plus], but I tell you what this continual rain fall is a killer. I am sure a lot of family's plans were completely screwed up this weekend.
Still, were British, stiff upper lip and all that.
Quiet day today. Coffee in Bridgnorth this morning, lunch in Much Wenlock and then an Expresso and a Grand Marnier [double] in Bewdley. Light shower in Bewdley but managed to dodge most of it. So weather wise not bad really
What three gems these towns are, so much history, a little overrun with tourists now, especially Bewdley and Bridgnorth but still great places to visit.
Bridgnorth, high town, taken from the cartway.
Woodlands, Friday and Saturday I have been at the English Schools Athletic Championships at Gateshead, not seen any rain. Who should walk into breakfast at the hotel we were staying at but Raffa Benitez. Apparently he is renting a suite on the top floor. His suit must have cost a few bob.
