Thread: Thousands of YES

  1. #11
Why won't these folk accept the will of the people?

Can you imagine the way this would be reported if the shoe was on the other foot, Scotland had become independent and thousands marched the streets with Union flags calling for a return of the Union, the media would be going tonto!

Actually most of the hundreds that take place in Glasgow every year pass without comment in the media.

That would suggest they were attended by honest law abiding folk celebrating their culture, which would have one asking why the mere mention of the OO on here is like throwing a puppy into a bath of piranhas.

Apart from the annual one, which to be fair only resulted in 13 arrests this year. Progress.

The annual one would be the Glasgow walk you are referring to, which is a fraction of the size of others in different parts of the country, all of which you admit pass off unnoticed, 13 arrests in Glasgow on a Saturday afternoon by people who attended the march and not the people taking part is nothing, and we don't even know the denomination of these folk of why they are arrested, T in the park has far more yet we never hear of banning that.

Getting back on track, the people of Scotland voted NO, when will the elected government respect that and get on with running the country instead of actively dividing it?

This word 'dividing' again. When did campaigning for a core political aim, that everyone who voted for the party who won more votes than Labour and the tories put together in Scotland, become illegitimate? It was in the manifesto the SNP won on that being taken out of the EU would be one of the material changes that would mean revisiting the viability of another referendum. The bottom line is Scotland will only become independent if a majority of people who live in Scotland vote for it.

The majority of Scotland want to remain in the Union, the EU referendum doesn't change that, the yes2 movement was moping about before the EU decision and will mope about until it gets its wishes.

If a referendum was called tomorrow it would be NO again, you should at least be honest about your own motives for wanting to break up the Union.

Stop it Brother Oz. Don't do that to them.

You're using logic and reason too much now. You know they don't like you playing that game.
