Very sad indeed, they keep saying these tasers and aren't harmful but obviously that depends on the individual .
RIP Dalian and condolences to his family especially his son who apparently find out by radio news.
Sad news about the former striker who has died after being tasered. Remember him well from the early 90s and his times at Villa and our Sheffield neighbours. Just the type of player we could do with today.
RIP Dalian

Condolences to his family.
That is sad news....tragic in away...
God Rest Him,,,,, really good Centre Forward,,,, all the best to his family
I just hope it isn't anything really dodgy. The Police don't generally go around tasering people for a laugh, they have to think there is a real threat. At his dad's place and has potential to be a real tragedy.
I was just about to make a similar post. I really hope the eyewitness account is wrong or at least over exaggerated.
As we know from past experience, the eye witness's account wouldn't surprise anyone, would it? Stinks, and whilever they get away with it, it will always continue...
Don't know what happened, or why he was tasered, but what i do know is that what happened afterwards is a disgrace, if true.
RIP fella.
Been listening to Radio DeeDah earlier this evening and they broadcast an eye-witness account of what happened (they must have checked with their legal department before broadcasting it).. Eye-witness said Atkinson had been tasered, repeatedly kicked whilst on the ground and then tasered several more times. Was he armed with a gun , machete or similar? No information given by the eye witness or in any statement from the poice so far. Sounds absolutely horrendous.
