    Rangers 5, qos 0

The dream of a place in the semi - final is over after tonight's heavy defeat so lets move on and prepare for another
massive game at Palmy on Saturday versus the Hibees.

Back to the drawing board. Let's hope Queens can bounce back at home to Hibs on Saturday.

Weel knowing the Dumfries general public, that result tonight will have knocked a geed few of Saturday's attendance.

Let's hope not. Still top of the league and a top of the table clash on Saturday vs. Hibernian

Thought we might of sneaked a surprise result last night but we just didn't turn up . By far our worst performance of the season .

Hope it doesn't knock the players confidence too much ahead of Saturday's game against Hibs

After all the discussion about Queens not being able to sell their 1,000 tickets it seems the Teddy Bears also had not too much interest in the game although it was a cup quarter - final when their support was nearly 22,000 down from last Saturday !!

too much sitting back last night ,seemed to forget about the success of the high press we have employed since start of season ,we had a decent 15 mins at the start of second half until there goalie hit one of our players with a knee high tackle and somehow never got a straight red card ,then rangers go straight up the pitch and score there second ,after that it was game over ,we had to get hard and physical after there second ,but we just kept letting them have possession ,there had to be more crunching tackles in the centre of mid from queens last night if we were to prevail ,games gone now out of one cup focus back on the league ,lets get our high press going against hibs and we should take the points .

Queens ended up having a decent support last night and we weren't subjected to much abuse . Just some good old fashioned banter .

Without being too critical I regret to say this was a reality check for Queens - Apart from a brief period at the start of the second half we were never in it - Rangers should have been down to ten men but they would still have won - Our two full backs were skinned for speed and our central defence was static - our midfield struggled throughout and the Dobmeister was restricted to half chances - also where was Robinson for the first goal - we will learn a lot from this game and Skelton was quite correct with his comments after the game - " Rangers had a lot of quality - we were well beaten - that's football - lets move on "

I think we will bounce back against Hibs and fancy bringing Higgins back into the team - agree with a previous poster that the fickle Dumfries support will be down on Saturday due to this heavy defeat - looking on the TV the Queens support was quite large at Ibrox
