Division 1 but United still getting bigger crowds than Dundee

    Dundee average 6.325

which includes home games against Rangers, Celtic and Aberdeen

    United average 7.087

United's lowest league crowd this season has been 5.829. Dundee's is 4.783. United even managed to get a bigger crowd against Ayr United than Dundee did against Aberdeen.

You would have thought temporarily at least Dundee would have caught up with United while we were out the big league. 40 years and counting.

Its called "gloryhunterism". When a wee diddy team gets a shot at glory, the folk who wouldnae set foot in their ground during the bad times, suddenly appear again, dont worry, it wont last long at Tannadice.

Not sure what your point is United's average attendances have been steady over the last 40 years never going below 7,000. But we are now gloryhunters going to see out team in the second tier?

I think you should perhaps look at the fluctuations in Celtic's attendances over the same period.

I wasnt going to reply to you with any mention of Celtic, but I will. Just because we restructured our club after coming close to going out of business and started to attract a better standard of player, which in turn brings people out to watch them, doesn't mean that there is something wrong is there ? Back to the point, teams at the top of the Championship always see a resurgence in attendance numbers as there is a wee shot at actually winning a league title, just in the same way, wee Jimmy fae Texas always manages to get a cup final ticket for a wee diddy teams big day out, before a Celtic season ticket holder who actually invests in his club and the game in this country.

You are of course talking nonsense. We haven't seen a 'resurgence' in attendances, we have maintained our attendances.

How many Celtic fans abandoned their club the last few years before Rodgers came in even though they were winning trophies? Imagine if you were like most fans and winning sod all most of the time. Parkhead would be 1/4 full.

So Celtic fans are gloryhunters and you are now justifying glory hunting. You are all over the place.

United's attendances have fluctuated the least of any of our top teams in Scotland. The very definition of not gloryhunting.

Dundee United are a total irrelevance, no surprise they're acting like their Sevco cousins trying to remind everyone they are still out there somewhere. No-one cares.

United had about 3000 fans in the 70s, had about 50 going to away games, where did all these extra fans come from?
