No, just the innings run total, or batsman run total.

Bess’s wicket fell on 333 ie “triple Nelson”.

    Fall of wickets:
    1-4 (Dom Sibley, 5.2 ov)
    2-5 (Zak Crawley, 7.1 ov)
    3-116 (Jonny Bairstow, 35.5 ov)
    4-132 (Dan Lawrence, 41.2 ov)
    5-229 (Jos Buttler, 70.5 ov)
    6-252 (Sam Curran, 81.2 ov)
    7-333 (Dom Bess, 109.5 ov)
    8-337 (Mark Wood, 111.2 ov)
    9-339 (Joe Root, 114.2 ov)

The Ockers’ equivalent is 87, ie [100-13].

That, and Cape Town stadium cameras picking up the skills Bancroft had picked up in high school woodwork lessons.

Sterling work Vintage keeping everyone updated. Not been on here for a while but was going to post an update but you had it in hand.

Great result for England but India will obviously be a lot tougher.

A good benchmark for England. India’s cuffing of the Larrikins without Kohli was as impressive as it was hilariously pleasing.

Some *******s on TMS about Buttler being available for the first Test only in Chennai (from 5 Feb), and Bairstow unavailable for the first two. Suggests that Foakes will be the only back-doggie* available for the second Test. Very odd.

*colloquialism from Aberdeen Grades cricket, for the benefit of inabootcomers.

Aye, that was a good test match. Some good batting and bowling on both sides.

Today's Scotsman spins (ha!) it even more, its headline "Sibley century as England seal Test series victory over Sri Lanka" and photo caption "Dominic Sibley celebrates after his maiden Test century" wholly at odds with the scorecard, and the body text's " (Buttler) has been in good form for some time and is a well-renowned player of spin, meaning Sibley's hard-working 56no was the more significant".

    Tinpot amateurs.

    Zzzzz.

    Cricket thread min.

I’m sure there’s another thread where you can post contemporary political press opinions and reviews.

You may even want to originate one.
