    A wee birdie told me there were only 250 sheep at the away leg in Hamburg. I don’t believe it, surely there would have been tens of thousands of dandy dons there for the biggest game in the club’s history

    well said mate, we was all behind abeerdean that day. I was in my dads? bullsack at the time and when the winner went in it was a day I never forgot. Notts County and abeerdean truly are up there with the likes of barca and real madrid, we truly are the people who support the two best clubs in these islands

    I can' t say I remember the Hamburg game but was supporting the dons in the cup winners cup final.

    How strong was Scottish football that year,Aberdeen could only finish 3rd in the league.
