You're right of course, but the point I was (badly) trying to make is that 12 of the 16 third round ties can't yet be played as there are still outstanding first and second round ties to play and of those 12 ties, 11 involve teams whose season has now been suspended for at least 3 weeks and most likely longer. Given the shortage of free dates and the backstop of Euro2020 (if it goes ahead) its already looking like a challenge to finish the Scottish Cup this season

All true, and between the weather and the real possibility of the current clampdown being extended, the whole tournament's at risk.
