Dons fans do like a good moan in all circumstances.
Aye, that's how it works. You mention how ambitious you are then absolutely **** the bed and get about 3 points in 10 games to totally **** the season and any chance of a champions league place.

Exactly this . I’m all for being confident in your own ability but these players , and pretty much every Dons team under McInnes , have consistently been writing out cheques in the media that they can’t cash on the pitch.
The fans are fed up of hearing the same sh’ite year in year out . They’d get far more respect if they just kept quiet . They’ve been nowhere near good enough to win anything this season apart from a brief spell early on with Hedges , Watkins and Wright all on form which lasted about 3 or 4 games . Celtic have been as poor this season as they have been for nigh on a decade and we still can’t lay a glove on them . Ross County have beaten them home and away this season ( let that sink in ) and the best we managed was a draw at home .
The best thing that could happen is to part ways ,amicably if possible, with the management team in the summer and release the vast majority of the first team . The new manager needs to be allowed to build his own team .
Time is up for the likes of McGinn, Hayes, Considine, Taylor , Logan etc.
Build the team around McCrorie and Ferguson if we can keep them . Kamberi might be worth holding onto depending how he fares between now and the end of the season . Hedges too but there are a lot of them need moved on now , they’ve all become far too complacent with no desire or fight to be seen , just flippant remarks in the media .

Hard to disagree with any of that, although not sure Ferguson will be here to build a team around

The Scottish cup semi was quickly forgotten. Celtic's form was horse **** before, during and after that game yet we made them look like they were back to their best. Even Hearts had them on the ropes in the final.

Add Joe Lewis to the list of players who's time is up. Worst captain we've had in years.

I'd keep Hoban, Ferguson, McCrorie, Hedges, and maybe try to sign Kamberi and give a contract to Anderson if he'll take it. Who knows whether McGeouch is worth keeping, McInnes never seems to give him a shot.

    GK
    RB Hoban CB LB
    RW Ferguson McCrorie Hedges
    Kamberi Anderson

    That's a start.

However, I suspect that out of those players the only one who is more than 75% likely to still be here next season is McCrorie.

I’d prefer to give Lewis another season as he’s been a decent keeper before the captaincy. I’d keep him but give the arm band to Ferguson or if he’s not here McCrorie.

I agree. You can tell a lot about the real character of a player when they are given extra responsibility. Lewis has been a poor captain and his performance levels have severely dipped. He is easily beaten nowadays and his mistakes are too often for a top goalkeeper. Time to try and sign someone with a bit more drive and someone who wants to be the best.

Players like Joe could well find a bit more drive once we change from a manager with a loser attitude.
Choosing Joe as captain is just another in DMs list o failings. Not Joe’s fault.

Joe has been a poor captain and it’s affected his performances. He should never have been captain in the first place , it should always be an outfield player . When the new manager comes in and appoints a new captain let’s see if his performances improve. If not then we should bin him .
