What do we make of this?
It strikes me as another sign that Venky's are not thinking of doing a runner.
I have no idea what the job-description is for such a role, but this guy won't have come cheap, and it does suggest an ongoing commitment on the owners' part. As far as I can see, one of his specialities has been recruitment
Let's hope this means Venky's are looking to fork out for a new player or two in the coming month as well!

Having seen the announcement (of sorts) , I'm afraid it's a 'let's wait and see' situ.
I am well past seeing anything concretely positive in anything Venkys.
Despite my reluctance of acceptance that without them we're screwed.
No one knows just exactly his remit and powers are/will be. Nothing new there really is there.

you cannot compare Sheffield Wednesday to our situation we are millions in debt and we hear the age old excuse from the powers that be that we cannot spend due to financial fair play even if everybody else couldn't give a monkey's about it
ok fine but any money we bring in transfer wise is not invested either to my knowledge it's not even going off the debt
I would love to be proven wrong but all I can see is someone who will be negotiating transfers out not in.
