Protocol means that the monarch invites the leader of the largest group of MPs to FORM A GOVERNMENT.

The Government is Parliament's executive.

I thought all you political animals would know that.

And, I repeat, retention of the monarch as the Head of State was in your party's 2014 White Paper.

Aye you vote for individuals but you could have monkeys standing for the Tories and people would still vote for them.
Retention of head of state in this case the queen was indeed in the party's White Paper 2014 but once independent I think it would be easier to get them voted out. That's just my opinion .

But have to say this topic is mostly tongue in cheek.
