Wolves fans speak highly of Simpson while it is no secret Cook has been after Doyle for ages. I can't fault Smith's work rate, he just doesn't score goals or bring anything to the table for me. However as always I wish him well at Northampton. Our central midfield isn't good enough the way I see it, especially at home, however the die is cast, we just have to get on with what we have.

I now have a glimmer of hope we can improve and get some consistency. I was resigned to Smith playing for at least a few more games even when Doyle came in. Looking forward to the next game!
