You should watch the Detectives on you tube Tricky,a cult classic comedy super programme from two great characters and their boss who took all the stick.. Definitely worth your while ..great viewing ..

Googled the detectives and it says it ran from 1959 until 1962 And Elvis Costello penned the song in 1977.

No this is the series Tricky and it started on the Bbc in '93. Its an episode where Carrot & Powell are held hostage on Fa cup final day (both of their teams ManUre & Brum are playing in the fictional final).
