If we do go down though, it would be harder to come back up, and if we did make it back up then the gap between our squad and a PL squad would be even bigger... we could become the latter day Yo-Yo team

That's it really, we don't have the saleable assets we had last time because we haven't been back in the PL long enough to acquire them. Lascelles is probably our only £20m+ player I think, and some might still see that as a risky purchase at that price. If we go down, I don't see us coming back up at the first time of asking without a similar level of investment to the last time, because we'll inevitably lose some players who will need to be replaced. And if we won't spend that to stay in the PL, then I don't see that happening to get back up here.
