    Some of my best days ever up on the Cumbrian fells, I don't know why, but I love the ascent up to the pinnacle of Blencathra! Fleetwith Pike and Haystacks in one day takes some beating.

    Yes, the Fleetwith Pike/Haystacks trip is imminent.

    Blencathra is one I have never done. Did you do sharp edge?

    Best option 1959-60!

    Must be 20/25 years ago now and I was on the summit when a women had fallen whilst descending and the helicopter was up and winching her off to Carlisle hospital.

    Take the Soft Lads route!
