    Eagles and Judas at Ibrox

My grandsons needed me to take them to see Rangers yesterday to watch them play Ross County. I was able to give them a Burnley background to the pair of them. Eagles famously chickening out of a move to Ibrox at the last minute.
It looked like they were going to win as Rangers we’re poor and Eagles sent the full back down the wing with a sublime pass that lead to a headed goal. He played much as I remembered him, running about a lot but not as fast and often not with the ball, and moving all over midfield and sometimes on the wings.
Coyle looking a bit portly and thank goodness not in his shorts perhaps because of the freezing weather took him off after 53 mins and I was pleased that Rangers managed to come back with two goals, though Ross had their chances and could have had a last minute Penalty.
Ross are second bottom, a place Owen knows quite well.

I have to take them next week to watch St Johnstone so Brian Easton might be on Show as club captain, though he hasn’t played since the end of October.

Yes those were the days alto and often how you got the football scores in those days. a bit like the letters they used on the Turf to give half time scores
You needed the programme to break the code

Coyle got his first win after getting his chairman’s backing.
    1-4 away to Dundee.
They are still bottom by 3 points though and Eagles didn’t make the bench. Unsure if he is injured.

Off the bus at Accy from the match, straight to the newsagents for the Pink so me and my granddad could argue the toss after tea. He was a fanatical Blackeye Rovers fan! Bless him!
