What is the opposite of the Midas Touch?
Whatever it is McInnes has it.
McInnes has a terrible record as manager since Cormack has taken over. If Cormack wasn’t just all talk and a media publicity whore then he would sack the man. His American backers are needing to have a quiet word in his ear and tell him to dispose of McInnes this week.

Newcastle in for the big man
A view from the stinking side....
Neil Lennon is still in a job right now because of one man.
Not Peter Lawwell and not Dermot Desmond, although both of them are culpable in leaving him in place.
No, the guy who Celtic fans should be looking to isn’t even working inside Parkhead.
He works at Aberdeen.
Derek McInnes is why Lennon is still in a job.
I write transfer rumours, so this isn’t the kind of piece I would normally tackle, but the facts are obvious for all to see. If Aberdeen were even a little bit better we’d be third and Lennon might not even have the luxury of the Scottish Cup Final to look forward to.
In the league, McInnes’ team twice blew a lead against us at home whilst we were still coming off the disgrace against the Ibrox team at Celtic Park.
If his team had been able to defend better that day, Lennon would have been under massive pressure weeks earlier than he was.
In addition, it was the cup semi-final at Hampden which gave Lennon his one and only major lift of the last few months. Whatever lessons others would have learned in multiple contests against us at Hampden, McInnes has failed to.
Whether Hearts have done their homework remains to be seen.
Aberdeen are three points behind us having played a game more. Four draws and three defeats in six**** games.
Like us, they are out of the League Cup already.
They are sitting in fourth, courtesy of a Hibs team that has played one more game than them.
Their form is abysmal. McInnes, like Lennon, has an excuse for every occasion, but none are convincing.
McInnes is stunningly inept, and in a year when we’ve had our worst start in ages.
A better manager than him, with the Aberdeen squad at his disposal, would have already overtaken us in the league and put Lennon under even more pressure.
As it is, there are voices at both Pittodrie and Easter Road who believe their teams can finish second.
Ross is a better manager than McInnes and with less to work with, but he has a realistic chance if we continue on our current rate of decline.
Aberdeen would have a very good chance with a better manager at the helm.
Neil Lennon should wake up every morning thanking God that they don’t.
I think we will finish third if we can sort out the issues upfront (again) but it's hardly a big deal.
We can also name drop managers all day, every day but a manager's shelf life is short with the exception of McInnes. So no matter how badly he does, he survives the rest of them. That then gives satisfaction to the happy clappers who can bring up the likes of Goodwin when they've been sacked by Plymouth Argyle in 2034. As McInnes leads us to a top 6 finish.
