Nice one Lloyd, good to see they're 'toeing' the line at last .

I can see your dilemma and fully appreciate your concerns. However, going private will not make you a hypocrite. Going private will make you the recipient of a consultation you should have had months ago, allowing the NHS to rectify its acknowledged mistakes in the process. They are responsible for the current state of your affairs so allow them to make good their mistake.

All of the very best chap, Dan’.
We've had health insurance for many years and each time we use it I believe I am not taking up NHS resource so freeing it for others who decide not to spend their hard earned on their health.
There are lots of things like expensive hols I would give up before this.

Now i'm faced with a moral decision, she asked which hospital I wanted to be referred to I said Sandwell. she said would consider West Midlands Private hospital, who may be quicker and have a good reputation. I've looked at the hospital, nice private rooms ,ensuite, free parking. But the moral decision, do i put myself before the NHS budget and the thought of them making money out of my operation. Would i be a hypocrite if I choose them.
I think there might be some confusion here.

I’ve used West Mids Private Hospital at Coleman Hill a few times, initially on a private patient basis but I don’t think this is what you’re doing Lloyd.

Our local health service have started to procure national health treatment through this hospital to ease pressure on the main hospitals and it’s likely that the cost of doing your treatment will differ little between the two venues.

Don’t rely on the free parking though.....the car park there is tiny and very tight so allow yourself an extra 15 minutes as you may have to park on the housing estate a couple of hundred yards away.
