I play a game on the PC called Empire Total War. It's a strategy game with lots of aspects: military, financial and political. On the politics front you have a cabinet, each of whom have traits which combine to make them good or bad. If you tire of them, you can boot one out per turn, and they get immediately replaced. So if you have a three star minister with a negative trait (in her case 'liar') you can boot them out and hope for 4 stars or better. We just did that with Amber Rudd, but like in the game, you are just as likely to end up with a 2 star duffer. Step forward Sajid Javid.
