I’m on chapter 26 & it’s the best thing I’ve ever heard on audiobook. He could be reading out the telephone directory & it’d be entertaining. It’s put me off weetabix though.

I just don’t get poetry & a spoken word night is my idea of hell but this is marvellous stuff

Nobody ask what I mean by stuff. This isn’t 2003

    “Luxury. Pure, unashamed luxury”.

Of the 49 books I have read (including 5 audiobooks, courtesy of Aberdeen’s superlative, helpful, generous library service), it’s the standout.

Only Mariella Frostrup reading out “Clark, Whyte, Shewan, Munro, McMillan, Petersen, Little, Smith, Winchester, Melrose, Wilson”

or “Clark, Boel, Hermiston, Murray, McMillan, Buchan, Forrest, Robb, Harper, Willoughby, Graham”

or “Leighton, Rougvie, McMaster, Cooper, McLeish, Miller, Strachan, Simpson, McGhee, Black (Hewitt), Weir”

or “Shearer, Perry, Lonie, Walker, Niddrie, Nicol, Still, McKay, Keith, Lennox, Donaldson”

    in perpetuity, would come close.

Wasn’t Arkwright Jr snagged in this sort of intrigue a few years ago?

I see, in an effort to save mankind, they are pondering the idea of refreezing the Arctic. Google how because I sure as hell don't know.

I had a similarly brazen idea to help global warming. Hear me out....

They are always on about sea levels getting dangerously high. I saw a thing about a nuclear power plant at Hinkley Point and it sucked in about 100 tonnes of water an hour to keep the reactor cool and to use for super heating to produce the steam that eventually spins the turbines that generate the power.

Build more nuclear power plants! If we have loads of power plants sucking in that amount of sea water the levels are bound to go down and we get electricity at the same time. Win win.

I don't even mind if anyone claims this idea as their own.

Of course I'm happy for Mr and Mrs Mason89 but I solved global warming and not a peep from anyone. He gets hitched and it's all 'congratulations' this and 'well done' that. Life's so unfair.
