That mild cold has just put a guy I work with into hospital.

Is there a chance you might be wrong about it?

    Are you sure?

    Omicron was it?

Boris the B’astard and Nicola the Bitch have spread enough panic that we’re going to end up isolated on this poisonous f’uckin island.

I’ll ask him if he gets out.

Not entirely sure what difference it makes, as the precautions to take against both are the same.

Of course it makes a difference.
Seeing that it’s omicron we’re talking about.

Either way, I wish him a speedy recovery.

I never thought of you as having a “work”

Probably had you typecast as a council employee.

Ok, let’s follow that through to a sensible conclusion.

You say it makes no difference, despite the same precautions being taken for each variant. Let’s pretend you’re in charge of public health in Scotland. If people end up in hospital regardless, why are you wanting less restrictions? Do you want to f*ck over the NHS and it’s staff? Sounds like it.

What is it you would do differently from Weegie bitch face sturgeon?

First I would have introduced the vaccine passport for all hospitality and entertainment venues when she should have a few weeks ago.

Second, given that the restrictions in Scotland were already high ( just what the English have now raised theirs too) I wouldn’t have deliberately panicked everyone into cancelling everything.

They wouldn’t have needed to cancel anything because they would have needed their vaccine passport anyway.

Thirdly, I would never have made suggestions and then told everyone that my suggestions had to be followed because they weren’t “optional”

Dictators always come to the same sticky end.

They’re all perfectly sensible suggestions - as long as you’re discounting the new variant entirely

    Of course I am.

It’s what we’ve been waiting for.

If Omicron isn’t the end game then it’s a major step towards it.

We’ve now got a flu at worst.

Flu is nasty enough, I’ll give you that, but it’s not enough to shut a country down for.

Yet the hospitals still seem to be running at capacity, with worse expected to come. It’s a head scratcher! Could we at least wait until everyone’s had their booster before we make it a free for all? You know, just to help out those nice people knocking their pan in on the NHS.

…..and then wait until the 4th jab?

It’s hardly a free for all, this is just going for a pint or to watch the fitba.
