Seems betting is where the money is, but I’d rather not be promoting it. Dafabet were paying us £2.5m a year for shirt logo in a multi season agreement, but this seems to involve rather more such as pitch-side and generic branding at Burnley’s Turf Moor stadium, as well as promotion across the club’s online and social media platforms.
As it’s record breaking it may be a significant sum rather than a few quid.

The sheer hypocrisy really gets on my goat. One of our ex-players gets hit with a career ending ban for gambling and we advertise it all over the stadium and shirts. The lure of lucre wins every time!

BT --the shirts were sponsored by Dafabet when Joey came back to play for us. People have a choice as to whether or not they gamble, just as they do as to whether they smoke, drink and take drugs.
I must be a real boring ******* because I just drink and don't do any of the other things by choice. The fact that Burnley shirts and one of our stands are sponsored by betting companies does not bother me one bit because if they weren't paying us they would be paying some other club.
