Is that the end of our business? Not hearing any more links.. Seemed like Bauer or nobody for centre back, and looks like interest in a winger has died out..

There's certainly disappointment in some quarters at the lack of a winger, but for me TM doesn't really prioritise them. I feel if we brought one in, it'd only be as a sub option.

I think that's right, Saxo. A year ago, TM was very keen to have a proper winger, but after Chapman got injured, he found alternatives for supplying the attacking flair. It would still be nice to have the excitement that someone like Chapman provides, but it's not essential, especially with Bennett doing a pretty fair imitation of Superman.
It's a shame that with so much talent in the Under-23s, none of them is an out-and-out winger.
I think Rodwell is being considered primarily as a centre-back, rather than as a defensive midfielder. That must be even more the case now that Reed has signed. So Bauer is presumably off the menu for the time being.
Which leaves the centre-forward. I take it Brereton is still coming, but this must be the longest "engagement" in history, and no "weddings" are allowed after Friday! Let's hope Forest finally accept the "dowry'.
