All I will say is he is 3-5 years away from being at his best. He is still work-in-progress. If we had better central defensive options his Scotland baptism might have been delayed a year or two.
No Souttar is a class act. He isnt a CB though in the traditional sense. Or if he is the country isnt Scotland. In a back 3 he should prosper but like you said leadership and management are key and that didnt happen tonight. He gets that at Hearts though.

I agree with smedum. Souttar has been great for hearts but maybe been rushed due to the lack of CB for Scotland.
Why Tierney gets played CB with McKenna on the bench is beyond me. I would like to see Tierney play in front of Robertson or vice versa.
Is it just me or has Robertson's performances dropped in a Scotland shirt since being made captain. Looks like he's trying far to hard and getting caught out of position to often
Performance tonight was terrible.
McLeish takes the blame. They had so much space down our right and it was getting exploited all night.
I think Souttar will come on to a game. He’s still young and will end up in premier league down south if he applies himself well
Robertson was getting marked out of the game first half. Good tactics from them as he is our best player. Second half he was not himself and think he might just been trying to do too much or knackered
No I agree but think it would help if they were playing 4 at the back, would have Robertson left back and Tierney right back (worked with Strachan a few times) or on the bench, don't think them playing in front of the other will work despite seeming ok on paper, it's not pes or footy manager and totally different positions to full back
I assume Craig Levein will slaughter McLeish for playing Souttar out of position, ruining his development.

I actually thought both his bookings were soft.
Some of these modern day managers seem to think they're clever and overcomplicate things. Scotland 3 at the back you're having a laugh. Does McLeish think we're France or Croatia ffs. Didn't want to upset Tierney and the Celtic support so plays WITHOUT a left back. So both players out of position.
Should be 4 every time.
To be fair it was a ridiculous manager appointment, showed how lacking in skill the SFA are, now we're in danger of messing up the easiest group ever.
Not sure McLeish can recover from this tbh looks like he's lost most of the players already.
